Distortion Survey
As with the level monitoring; permanent levelling points are installed around the structure. The levelling points for a distortion survey continue all the way around the perimeter of the building on the same course of bricks, providing the brick work is exposed. The vertical movement of each point over time is related to a fixed point or datum allowing accurate structural movement to be recorded to within a fraction of a millimetre.
